LECTURES
Week 1: Briefing, practicing vector (7/4/23)
In the first week of lecture, Sir Hafiz, which is our lecturer, had a
briefing to us on this subject and assignments to be expected in the
future.

Week 2: Vormator shapes practice (14/4/23)
> For week 2, we are continuing the vormator shapes practice on Adobe
Illustrator but sir demonstrated to us on how can we make the vormator
shapes not just by tracing with a pen tool but it can also use the shape
and shape builder tool to form the shapes.
Shapes tool (Rectangle, Ellipse)
Fig 1.1 Vormator shapes formed using shape tool
Fig 1.2 ctrl + D to duplicate shapes
> using the rectangle tool first for the bottom part and then use
the ellipse tool to form a circle on top of the rectangle as shown
above and there you'll have the shape without tracing them :)
> By holding the ctrl + D key, you can duplicate the same shapes
as many times as you want depending on how many times you've clicked
the keys.
Shape builder tool
> As the image shown the Zerk shape (Left side) has lines in the
shapes from the rectangle and ellipse tool. We can use the lines to
separate the shapes by the help of shape builder tool. You just have
to click on each section of the shapes once then use the selection
tool to separate the shapes as shown in the right.

Process of Illustrated Typography
> For these two words, I have decided to try to combine them
both into one illustrated typography. By that, I first digitally
sketched out my ideas before proceeding further.

REFLECTION
> For exercise #1, which is the vormator challenge, at first it was challenging for me to get any good ideas for my vormator character so I was procrastinating throughout this task but luckily I managed to finish it on time and I was happy with my vormator character. This exercise taught me that I should really need to experiment the shapes by combining them into a new shape and letting my creativity flow. Eventually the whole process of this exercise was quite fun I would say.
For exercise #2, it was a little confusing for me to actually get to execute the words that I have chosen (using the random pictionary generator) to an illustration that correlates with the 2 words: rice and shampoo.
