Task 2
Project 2A (1): Double Exposure
> In this task, we were first given a set of photos on Google Drive
files and a video tutorial to start off this task on our own. The lecturer
also provided Google slides for further referencing in case the video
tutorial was not too clear enough.
A little brief about double exposure applied in Adobe Photoshop is a method
to blend images or mask them together using the tools in the software. There
were quite a lot of blend mode options to create the double exposure effect
in many different ways.

> I played around and experiment with masking on the images
I found online and the filters for this exercise but in the
middle of the process, I did not really like how it turned out
and I knew I needed some consultation from sir on what to add/
alter.
> After the consultation in class, sir said to reduce the
opacity of the orange flower fields at the bottom part and also
that I do not need to do too much as it was just an exercise for
us to understand how double exposure works.
I reduced the opacity and then changed the background color to
black to match the dress that I was wearing on this
self-portrait.

> As for the topic/SDG Goals that I would choose as my theme
in the MyTiger Values poster design work, I have decided to go
with "Quality Education".
Quality education is about a comprehensive and effective learning
experience that equips individuals with the knowledge, skills, and
values necessary to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to society. It goes beyond
the mere acquisition of facts and focuses on fostering critical
thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration
abilities. This also aims to prepare students to become
well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to
society, adapt to a rapidly changing world, and pursue their
aspirations and goals.

Title: Enlighten, Enrich, Empowered
Summary/Description: The SDG goal that was implied in this photo imaging poster design is 'Quality Education'. Quality education means having efficient ways to have a better learning experience in gaining knowledge or information that we need and be able to be more educated thus we can be a good contributor to society like for example, by spreading awareness in a certain topic. Hence how I came up with the text "Enlighten, Enrich, Empowered". To have a piece of better information on a certain topic, we must do some research and enlighten ourselves on the matter. Then, we are able to enrich the information learned and help to improve a better life and eventually, we get to use the knowledge given by empowering other people too for instance.
In this poster design, I tried to circle around this theme by firstly photo-manipulating the face/head of the person and adding books/ notes to kind of enhance the fact that our brains should be always stuffed with the understandings that benefit us throughout our life and brainstorming ideas which explains the lightbulb image behind the head. Of course, a quality education does not only mean gaining knowledge but also speak wisely or asking questions that help us grow.
Reflections
> The double exposure exercise can be tricky on some parts in the first place as it gets more in-depth with Photoshop. However, through the lectures from Sir and a video
tutorial for us to refer to, the task gets gratifying, and it was
not as hard as I thought. I am amazed at how cool two different images can be compiled into one composition well.
Next, for the poster design, honestly, I did not have sufficient time to be able to finish without rushing it but I am still satisfied with the poster design outcome regardless. I liked the idea of the poster design but I thought that I did not really emphasize along with the theme "Quality Education" like there was not much of a big impact for the viewers to be affected by looking at my poster. However, I think that the compositions in this poster design is fine and I'm hoping to improve my skills in the future.
