Task 2
Lectures (W6: Online class)
Character design best to do in GIF, sketches, processes (esp when ure
designing the character ur own, at least do the sketching first before
showing the final character design)
who are you fighting against + enemy - more important
focus on
the main boss and the main character
It's okay to invest in some game assets
But the document should start with the main character first/when u start
the project
Characters- showing the three view perspectives or
showing the charcacter poses
Coming out with a branding for ur games also, proper name for ur game +
have ur own design
In the end u have to put the character(s), environment of the game, props
in one picture
For a better visual its better to display in phone/web screen

Game Art Asset Development
As my game will be more of a pixel art approach(also because of my limited drawing skills and time), I used this site called "Piskel" which was really easy to use for any pixel related design making. I started off by creating my character designs here.
The first draft of my character design was before I went on Pinterest to find inspiration so basically I just winged it and trying out the functions first. Clearly it doesn't look nice at all.

The drafts below were after I went to Pinterest to find some pixel character design inspos. Big changes were made.
Fig 2.2 Main character design draft #2
Added body for my main character + some color shadings and just tried to make the character looked more unique.

Traps
Made my own traps using Piskel and also downloaded free assets that I found online.
I firstly started to do the spikes on the ground.
Fig 2.9 Trap #1
Then I found inspiration online as well to do another similar kind of trap but this time it will be like on top and the spikes will drop down at random times so the player have to dodge it. So there'll be two traps but different mechanics.
Fig 2.10 Trap #2 compiled
Wanted to make the spikes to drop down even faster and sharper but I think it's okay for now.
